It was good to see someone embracing other cultures when he sang both Japense and Jazz music
Great insight, just to know that Detroit is known all over the world is amazing and to know that culture diffusion is undergoing in Toyko. In addition to the singer from Detroit that sings is Japanese is just remarkable. Ive learn new things in this video and great job to Harvey Thompson keeping the jazz-blues music alive.
This video was very interesting and informative, and also helped show how great Detroiters truely are. Great video!
I think this was a great video. I liked the fact that there were cultural views and conversations. It was surprising to see an African American become a famous Japanese singer. This was the thing that caught my attention the most.
Very entertaining video! Nice voice from an african american man, looking forward to hearing more music. Good addition to the music industry.
Harvey Thompson has an amazing voice. I really admired the cultural diffusion that was displayed in this video. I would not have expected to become a famous Japanese singer after leaving America. I was very surprised and blown away by him. He is absolutely extrodinary!

This is a very informative video. Harvey Thompson has great music.
This video was exceptional! It was so informative and I would’ve never thought of the way it tied into different cultures.
This Is a very great video! It displays information that might be unknown to the mind of most people in the city of Detroit. Its very cool to see how both cultures interact and bring up different aspects of culture. It helps you separate the learning from the thought of this just being simply amazing.
Very well put!
Its amazing hopresent us with such interesting information on a person from Detroit. Harvey Thompson is an amazing singer
This video is was what i call spectacular. The reason I am very fond of these segmants are simply because it’s a breath of fresh air from our normal broadcasting of negativity within detroit. I am in full agreement with the refrence to detroit’s own Harvy Thompson as the “golden voice”. His voice is way more beautiful then the chirpping of a humming bird. I would have never thought that detroit would be well respected, muscially, in such a place as Tokoyo, Japan, but hey you live and learn something new each day. I am in love with the documentaries, they give detroit a wonderful new look to the world, and strengthens the legend. keep it up!!!
Harvey Thompson’s voice is very unique. I really like the tone and sound of his voice. I found it amazing that he called live from Tokyo, Japan. I also like that he is trying to expose his great talents to the world.
This video was fantastic. I love listening to Mildread. I find it to be great that Harvey was in Japan. Japan is a place that I’ve always wanted to go.
This video was very informing. It gave a lot of facts that were interesting. Nice video!
It is amazing how a person from such a one-minded culture can have such a big positive effect on another culture. Harvey Thompson is an amazing singer and also can be a major role model for young people who don’t act like their peers. OUTSTANDING VIDEO!!!
I think this is an amazing video, with really good facts about Detroit. It’s really interesting to see a man with such a soulful voice sing Japanese music so well. It was nice to see Harvey not forget where he came from even with success and continue to spread his talent.
Great informational video! Harvey has a wonderful voice. I wouldn’t have expected him to be able to sing Japanese music so well, coming from the United States. Good to see him spread his gift in other parts of the world!
This video was not what i was expecting. Its nice to hear that someone from Detroit is doing something so important. I hope that Harvey keeps being as great as he is.
What catches my attention the most was the Japanese singer from Pittsburgh. Awesome.
It’s pretty cool that u know somebody that travels all around the world listening to different artist, and preforming as well. makes it better that he from Detroit; thumbs up Harvey
I like seeing how pieces of Detroit (aside from cars) have been able to be seen all around the world and are respected in these areas. very interesting.

Harvey Thompson has an amazing and very unique voice. I was really surprsied of his talent, but at the same time its astonishing. I am inspired to have someone from Detroit to pursue their dream. I would not have expected him to become a Japanese singer but at that a very popular one. His music is really inspiring.
This is a great video and Harvey Thompson is a great singer. It is amazing how he can sing in a different language and most people can barely speak a different language.

Phenomenal vid! Harvey Thompson is experiencing the best of both cultures and is sharing his experience with both miles away from home ! AMAZING
This was a great use of insight and wisdom in a way that was not so complicated. I liked the way it featured many talented artists who I had only sorta knew about but now know and appreciate. I also liked how Jiro (unsure if spelled right) was an African american who sang with such spirit in Japanese.
This video is very informal about Harvey Thompson’s background and his music. I’m proud to see a person from Detroit be so humble about what it is that they do. His music is very interesting and so is the video. For him to introduce a form of Detroit music to Japense people is amazing. He is a very talented person, and his voice is very unique and not usual. Harvey Thompson has a great talent!
This was an interesting video. The fact that he was interested into Japanese music really caught my eye. I applaud Harvey Thompson. Well Done!
I enjoyed the voice of Harvey Thompson. And the ideal of his cultural diversity in Japanese music sheds light to many others who may, or may not, enjoy japanese music also. Or who would like something new to be interested in.
This a very informative and actually a lesson to those who are not aware of the historical and current jazz singers. Harvey has a real jazz voice and a voice that is just astounding. It’s nice to know that he cares about where he comes from, Detroit. I would have never guessed that he was interested into Japanese music, wow. This video is very interesting to me. Good, Good.
This was an amazing video, I’ve learned a lot from it. It was very interesting and factual. I like the fact that there were conversations about different cultures. I was shock to see an African American singer that sings in Japanese. Me also watching this video I learned a lot more about Harvey Thompson and his great music.
